ANGELIKA KEMPE

Angelika has a vast knowledge of the marketing and media industry with some 20 years of first-hand experience in agency and brand management. She took up her first position as Advertising Manager at Nestlé South Africa in 1994. Here, she clocked up extensive experience managing several creative and media agencies at the same time. In 1999, she was promoted to head up the Advertising department, overseeing advertising across the SEAR region, which including South Africa, numbered 19 countries. In 2003, she received the Nestle Market Head Award for “Outstanding Business Contribution”.
She was the Business Unit Director for McDonald’s while working at global advertising agency Lobedu Leo Burnett. She worked for at the time ground breaking agency Lowe Bull from 1999 – 2001, where she was an Accounts Director. Here, she headed up key client accounts such as Unilever, The Coca-Cola Company and Johnson & Johnson.
In 2001, Angelika received a Grand Prix Loerie Award for her contribution to a highly successful campaign for Coca-Cola which was rolled out in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Russia, Turkey and India during 2000.
Recognising that companies needed far better value from their agencies, she founded AD-OPS in 2005. Angelika holds a Diploma in Marketing and Advertising from the Institute of Marketing Management (IMM) and is an AFSA (Arbitration Facilitation South Africa)-accredited facilitator, mediator and negotiator.
She is passionate about personal growth, and loves renovating spaces to create beautiful places. Angelika matriculated in Germany in 1982, and did a one-year secretarial course at the Birnam Business School, before moving to South Africa in 1982.
